FROM TANGIERS :

CHEFCHAOUEN (The City of Peace)   We start the tour from Ras El Maaa, a beautiful waterfall where local women meet to wash the laundry. After a short break, we head to the old Medinah to explore the little allies of the Blue City. We will visit Onsar, Hassan II Avenue, the Jewish quartier and the Square Outa el Hamman.

ASILAH   This is a fortified town on the northwest tip of the Atlantic coast of Morocco, about 31 km (19 mi) south of Tangier. Its ramparts and gateworks remain fully intact. Asilah is now a popular seaside resort, with modern holiday apartment complexes on the coast road leading to the town from Tangier. The city offers a good introduction to Morocco. It hosts annual music and arts festivals, including a mural-painting festival. Many of the houses of Asilah feature mashrabiya (oriel windows).

FROM MARRAKECH:

ESSAOUIRA   Formerly known as Mogador, this is a city in the western Moroccan economic region of Marrakesh-Safi, on the Atlantic coast. The modern name means "the little rampart", a reference to the fortress walls that still enclose part of the city. Archaeological research shows that Essaouira has been occupied since prehistoric times. In the early 1950s film director and actor Orson Welles stayed at the Hotel des Iles just south of the town walls during the filming of his 1952 classic version of "Othello" which contains several memorable scenes shot in the labyrinthine streets and alleyways of the medina. Legend has it that during Welles's sojourn in the town he met Winston Churchill, another guest at the Hotel des Iles. Beginning in the late 1960s, Essaouira became something of a hippie hangout.

OURIKA VALLEY   This is a beautiful valley in the Province of the Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz. At the time of the 2004 census, it had a total population of 26,990 people living in 4,777 households. The OURIKA River rises in the High Atlas and flows through the Ourika Valley, 30 km from Marrakech. The Ourika Valley, due to its many waterfalls and several attractions, is a very popular day trip from Marrakech. The region is inhabited by Berber people who practice a traditional way of life. Despite its proximity to Marrakech, it is still considered relatively "unspoiled". What makes this experience unique and most authentic is that we will take you enjoy a home-made private lunch in a Berber house.

ASNI   This is a small town in the foothills of the High Atlas mountains near Marrakesh. It is connected to Ikkiss and Imlil by tracks. Open back trucks provide a bus service several times a week between these three villages. We will visit a gorgeous National Park, where we will practice hiking at the Toukbal, the highest peak in the North Africa and the Arab World. It is an ultra prominent peak located 63 km south of the city of Marrakesh. We will enjoy a fantastic lunch in the Kasbah Tamadot, owned by Richard Branson.
